From her hedonistic (!) days as a blitz kid in the early 80’s when she worked with ID, Stephen Jones and Spandau Ballet (whilst juggling a fledgling career as a trainee fashion buyer at Harrods) through to her long standing and well respected position as Fashion Editor for Woman’s Weekly, Anne can tap into a wealth of fashion experience that spans some 25 years.
After deciding to hone her skills at the London College of Fashion, Anne enjoyed a brief, but valuable spell at Debenhams press office before joining Woman Magazine as a Fashion stylist and writer. She was soon promoted to Deputy Fashion Editor and enjoyed 5 years at the magazine before starting a family and pursuing a freelance career. After working for various weekly titles (including a year’s maternity cover for the Fashion Editor on Bella) Anne joined Woman’s Weekly as Deputy Fashion Editor, becoming Fashion Editor in 1996.
Committed, professional and unfailingly enthusiastic, Anne consistently delivered high quality fashion pages that were not only absolutely appropriate for the reader, but were both inspiring and achievable. With her extensive knowledge of the industry and desire to embrace new ideas and challenges, Anne doubled the magazine fashion content, as well as contributing to and editing the website. More recently she has organized and presented fashion shows to the public with great success.
Passion, care and attention to detail are always at the heart of Anne’s work, whether it’s sourcing the perfect location for a shoot, finding just the right props, searching for the most flattering looks for real people, or just keeping a fashion team happy with copious amounts of tea – and chocolate! With a vast body of work, which encompasses fashion, beauty, cover and celebrity shoots, as well as makeovers, figure fixing features, shopping pages and still life fashion, Anne’s experience and expertise is widely recognised within the industry.
Anne is available for editorial, commercial, advertising and PR bookings.
